"Electronic census 2021" in Bulgaria did not go without people's worries about the security of their personal data that they submit in order to be counted.
By order of the Chairman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP),
an inspection of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) is carried out in connection with the processing of personal data of individuals.
The Commission informed the citizens, who are worried about the processing of their personal data,
that the verification initiated by their alerts has not been definitively completed, but no illegal processing operations have been identified at this stage of data of citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria, participating in the “Electronic Census 2021” conducted by the NSI.
